Fairfax County's Tree Preservation and Planting Fund and Parklawn's Get2Green STEAM teacher recently teamed up for a tree planting initiative at the school. Students are helping to plant about a dozen trees in the Fall and Spring at Parklawn, including American Elms, River Birch and Willow Oak species. This video showcases Ms. Barrow's 3rd grade students with Parklawn's Get2Green coordinator, Ms. Phalon, planting an American Linden near our modular buildings.
