Parklawn's April PTA meeting will be held in the library at 4:30pm on Thursday, April 18th. We will elect officers and discuss Teacher Appreciation Week.

We are partnering with the Capital Area Food Bank and will have groceries for the community the second Thursday of every month from 5:00pm - 7:00pm in the Parklawn Cafeteria
PTA memberships are only $15 per family for the entire school year and all dues go to support our programs, such as our Wild About Reading contest, treats at the family reunion picnic, and staff appreciation events. Complete the membership form and return it (with dues) to your student's teacher, or join online at our PTA MemberHub Store.

Register for the Family Summit at Marshall High School on Saturday, April 20. The summit is designed for all families and will focus on providing social-emotional resources for topics such as raising resilient children and making meaningful connections. Also, resources will be available online for families of students with disabilities.

FCPS is exploring options for adjusting middle school start times and invites the public to be part of the process. Prismatic Services, Inc., an educational consulting firm, will lead the forums.

Register now for FCPS summer camps, including Tech Adventure Camp for current grade K-5 students, Elementary Institute for the Arts (EIFTA) for current grade 2-5 students, Institute for the Arts (IFTA) for current grade 6-11 students, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) Summer Academy for current grade 6-11 students.
Students have unlimited access to online tutoring support services through Tutor.com at no cost to families. Students can connect online any time, any place, and in most K-12 subjects for however long they need. Tutoring may be on-demand or scheduled at a time convenient for the student and/or family.
